To add a new item to the Classifieds or News of your Joomla site, follow these steps:

1. Go to article manager
2. Select new (green circle on right)
3. Give you entry a title Classifieds – Free Soccer ball  (the item name won’t be seen by public)
4. Alias name same as title but lower case
5. Change section to “Main Section”
6. Category on right should be set to “classifieds” in the dropdown
7. In the editor box type the listing “Free Soccer Ball”
8. Scroll down to bottom and select “read more” and a red line will appear
9. Type the text you want to appear in the read more section after the red line
10. Save an close
